Belarusian clothes

Flax is not only a symbol of Belarus represented on the state emblem, but also a truly national asset. Belarusian fashion designers offer a wide range of interesting models made from green fabric of one of the CIS key producers – Orsha Flax Mill.

The country’s leading designing organization – Belarusian Fashion Centre – cooperates with companies from Belarus, Russia, Ukraine, the United States, Sweden, and Italy. Belarusian footwear and fancy goods

Footwear from Belarus has won the trust of customers thanks to the quality of materials and manufacturing in European traditions, thanks to comfort and modern design.

One of the most famous footwear brands of Belarus, which is popular in the CIS and Baltic states is Belwest. The joint venture has been created by Europe’s oldest footwear manufacturers – the German company Salamander and the Vitebsk-based factory Krasny Oktyabr. At present Belwest makes over 2 million pairs of leather footwear per annum and utilizes cutting-edge 3D modelling and manufacturing technologies.

The Belarusian leather footwear company Marko is one of the largest CIS manufacturer and makes about 4 million pairs of footwear per annum.

There are a number of other famous footwear brands in Belarus that embody a combination of quality and global fashion trends as well as national peculiarities.

For instance, Lida Shoe Factory makes stylish footwear made of flax under the trademark Green Line. The walk-mill in Smilovichi makes felt boots (valenki) that sell well in Russia, Ukraine, Poland, Denmark, Lithuania, Latvia, and other countries across the globe.

Belarusian cosmetics and perfumes

Belarusian cosmetic brands were established comparatively a short time ago, but already are popular in Belarus and abroad. Primarily thanks to the use of organic components, quality and affordability.

The recognized leaders – Belita and Vitex – make over 100 brands, 220 lineups, and 1100 names of cosmetic products, including professional ones for beauty parlors and spa centers. Their proprietary research center constantly researches new formulas and recipes.

The Belarusian perfumery industry is also young particularly when compared to Europe’s leading perfumery manufacturers, however, it already offers a number of good fragrances to connoisseurs.

There are several perfumery manufacturers in Belarus. The Belarusian-French company Dilis Cosmetic is the largest one. To make perfumes, eau de toilette and eau de cologne Dilis Parfum, high-quality perfumery compounds made by well-known French companies are used.

In 2012 one of the world’s best perfumers, author of the famous Tresor, native of Belarus Sophia Grojsman presented the fragrance Belaya Rus No.5, which was created in memory of the native land. The formula has become the foundation for original women’s perfume Désir Coulant and perfumed cosmetics.

Belarusian watches

Minsk Watch Plant (Luch trademark) has been the CIS leader for over 50 years now. At present the company cooperates with the Swiss company Franck Mueller to make top-quality watches.

The product choice includes collections for men, women, children, tabletop clocks and pocket watches of various styles and prices – casual ones, prestige ones, retro ones, and elite ones — over 1,700 models, all in all.

In 2013-2014 the company introduced watches with increased durability. Minsk Watch Plant was the first company to start making the product in the CIS. A decorative and protective layer based on diamond-like carbon adds wear and corrosion resistance as well as hardness and smoothness.

Jewelry from Belarus

Jewelry made of precious metals and stones by Belarusian jewelers is famed far and wide for quality (a stamp of certification of the Belarusian assay supervision inspection is mandatory), delicateness and beauty.

The famous brands Kristall (Gomel) and Zorka (Minsk) offer rings, earrings, pendants and necklaces, brooches, hairpins, clips, and pins, chains and bracelets made of gold and silver with precious and semi-precious stones.

For many years Gomel jewelers have been making diamonds of various forms of gem cutting, weight, purity, and color characteristics. Over 90% of the diamonds cut by Belarusian masters are exported to global diamond trade centers (the USA, Belgium, Israel, Southeastern Asia).

Using a proprietary unique technology Belarusian scientists grow artificial precious stones – rubies and emeralds (even the rarest ones of the red variety) to be used to make jewelry. They are as good as natural ones, have fewer defects, and look stunning as part of necklaces and jewelry sets.

Home textiles, tableware, and interior items

Belarusian textiles and interior decorations, Belarusian tableware (crystal and glass, porcelain and ceramics), Belarusian carpets are always popular among visitors of Belarus.

Beautiful bed linen and table linen made of natural cloths include brands Blakit and Belarusian Linen. Hygienic terry towels and bathrobes are made by famous Rechitsa Textile.

Fabrics and sets for interior decoration are offered by the CIS’ largest textile manufacturer Mogotex (Mogilev).

Dobrush Porcelain Factory is Belarus’ only porcelain tableware manufacturer and one of the largest porcelain tableware manufacturers in the CIS. The company offers Belaya Rus Porcelain brand, which is known far away from Belarus.

Neman Glassworks is a famous brand for glass and crystal products from the Belarusian town of Berezovka. Keeping the traditions since 1883, at present the company makes over 5,000 kinds of products: tableware, interior design glass, accessories for floristics, and exclusive decorative products, which will be an excellent souvenir from Belarus.

Ceramic products from Radoshkovichi represent another true Belarusian gift. The choice includes tableware (dishes of the national Belarusian cuisine are particularly good when cooked in clay jars), interior decorations (vases, panel pictures), and original souvenirs).
