The Vancouver Olympics is the third for Belarus’ hockey team. The best result of Belarus was the 4th place in Salt Lake City in 2004. Belarus surprisingly beat Sweden in quarterfinals and lost the third place game against Russia.

Belarus biathletes won two medals at the Vancouver Olympics. Darya Domrachava claimed bronze in Women’s 15km Individual race. Sergey Novikov won silver in Men’s 20km Individual race.
