Barbara Radziwill

Barbara Radziwill, daughter of Grand Hetman of Lithuania Yuri Radziwill, Queen of Poland and Grand Duchess of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, second wife of Sigismund (Zygmunt) II Augustus.

Born in 1520, she died in 1551, 6 months after her coronation. She was buried at Vilnius Cathedral.

Barbara Radziwill was the heroine of many legends in a wide range of literary works.
