Wiktorin: Internship program at French National School of Administration promotes Belarus-EU ties

MINSK, 23 January (BelTA) – An internship program at France’s National School of Administration expands ties between Belarus and France and also promotes Belarus-EU friendship, Head of the European Union Delegation to Belarus Andrea Wiktorin said as she spoke at the meeting held on 23 January to summarize the results of the internship program for Belarusian specialists at the French establishment, BelTA has learned.

Andrea Wiktorin emphasized that the internship programs initiated by the French ministry in cooperation with the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs were financed under the MOST program of the EU project aimed at expanding professional contacts between citizens of Belarus and the EU.

Thus, in 2016 nine representatives of Belarusian ministries and agencies, including the Economy Ministry and the State Customs Committee underwent training at the National School of Administration in France. They honed their professional skills and exchanged experience with French counterparts in the application of the cutting-edge administration methods.

The National School of Administration (the Ecole nationale d'administration) is a state educational institution under the Prime Minister of France. The main objective of the establishment is to train, retrain and enhance the qualifications of the country’s civil servants.

Belarusian specialists attended two-week series of CISAR lectures aimed at the enhancement of professional expertise.

Partaking in the meeting was Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France to Belarus Didier Canesse, representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Academy of Public Administration under the aegis of the President of the Republic of Belarus, the French embassy in Belarus and the working group on MOST program (Goethe Institute).
