MINSK, 29 October (BelTA) - WHO Director General Margaret Chan lauded Belarus’ achievements in ensuring universal health coverage as she met with Belarus’ Permanent Representative to the UN Office and other international organizations in Geneva Yuri Ambrazevich, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Minsitry of Foreign Affairs.
The parties discussed the cooperation between Belarus and the WHO, summed up the results of the WHO European Ministerial Conference on the Life-course Approach in the Context of Health 2020 which took place in Minsk on 21-22 October.
The WHO Director General praised Belarus’ achievements in the field of the universal health coverage, treatment and prevention of non-communicable diseases, and the fight against HIV/AIDS,” the Belarusian Minsitry of Foreign Affairs said.
