MINSK, 17 April (BelTA) – UNESCO Director General Irina Bokova will be in Minsk on 17-20 April, BelTA learnt from the press service of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry.
Irina Bokova is set to take part in a solemn session of Belarus’ National Commission for UNESCO. The session will be dedicated to the 60th anniversary of Belarus’ membership in the organization and will be chaired by Belarus’ Foreign Minister Vladimir Makei.
The UNESCO Director General will also visit the National Academic Bolshoi Opera and Ballet Theater to present the UNESCO Five Continents medal to the team. She will also tour the museum complexes in Mir and Nesvizh included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.
