MINSK, 3 June (BelTA) - The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has passed a bill to ratify the readmission agreement between Ukraine and Belarus. The corresponding decision was supported by 271 MPs of Ukraine, UNN reports.
The explanatory note reads that when in force the agreement will significantly simplify the work of the appropriate Ukrainian authorities to counter illegal migration as it will create additional legal procedures for the return of Belarusian citizens to the country of origin and citizens of third countries who illegally come to Ukraine from the territory of Belarus back to this country. Thus, it will reduce the number of offences committed by foreigners and stateless persons.
