MINSK, 24 February (BelTA) – Belarusian Prime Minister Aleksandr Turchin met with President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan during his official visit to the country, the government’s press service told BelTA.
The parties reviewed current issues related to the further expansion of the multifaceted Uzbekistan-Belarus partnership in the context of implementing highest-level agreements. They noted with satisfaction the high level of cooperation achieved, particularly in the trade and economic area. Cooperation between leading enterprises in priority sectors continues to grow. The importance of shaping a new economic agenda was emphasized, including through the promotion of joint projects in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, pharmaceuticals, the textile and food industries, the agricultural sector, and other areas.
