MINSK, 4 November (BelTA) – Belarusian Prime Minister Aleksandr Turchin has left for an official visit to Kazakhstan, BelTA has learned.

Aleksandr Turchin is expected to meet with Kazakhstan’s President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. The two-day visit also includes talks with Kazakhstan’s Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov in both narrow and expanded formats. A number of international documents are expected to be signed.

In addition, today, Aleksandr Turchin will visit the Kazakhstan Digital Government Support Center and the Astana Hub international technopark for IT startups.

As the prime minister noted in a conversation with journalists yesterday, one of the main issues to be discussed during the visit is cooperation in mechanical engineering. “A number of joint ventures with our flagship engineering companies—MTZ, Gomselmash, MAZ, and BelAZ—are already operating in Kazakhstan. Thus, a key objective of our visit is to deepen this collaborative partnership,” the head of government noted. Food supplies are also on the agenda.
