MINSK, 20 December (BelTA) – The trilateral contact group on Ukraine has resumed talks in Minsk, BelTA learned from the Twitter account of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

“Minsk is playing host to a meeting of the trilateral contact group on Ukraine,” the ministry informed.

The previous talks on Ukraine were held in the Belarusian capital on 5 December. The participants of the talks reiterated the need for strict compliance with ceasefire agreements. The working group on security matters discussed the separation of forces and the withdrawal of heavy weapons. The exchange of prisoners of war was in the spotlight of the meeting of the working group on humanitarian affairs, which also discussed some technical moments. The sides have not determined the date of exchange yet, but promised it would be done before the New Year and Christmas celebrations.
