Supreme audit institutions of Belarus, Tunisia to step up cooperation

MINSK, 3 December (BelTA) – On the sidelines of the 15th General Assembly meeting of the Arab Organization for Supreme Audit Institutions (ARABOSAI) held on 2 December, First Deputy Chairman of the Belarusian State Control Committee Dmitry Basko met with Fadhila Gargouri, Vice President of the Court of Accounts of Tunisia, BelTA learned from the State Control Committee.

The meeting focused on prospects for bilateral cooperation and interaction between the two nations’ supreme audit institutions within the framework of both the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI) and ARABOSAI. The parties also exchanged information on the functions and powers of their respective institutions.

“Following the meeting, an agreement was reached to prepare a memorandum of cooperation between the supreme audit institutions of Belarus and Tunisia. Work on this document will begin shortly,” the State Control Committee informed.
