Sudanese parliamentary delegation to visit Belarus 26-31 August

MINSK, 25 August (BelTA) – An official delegation of the Republic of Sudan headed by Parliament Speaker Ibrahim Omer is scheduled to visit Belarus on 26-31 August, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Embassy in Egypt and Sudan (concurrently).

The visit has been organized with the support of the Belarusian diplomatic mission. The Sudanese delegation will visit Belarus to get familiar with the economic, industrial, agricultural, scientific and educational potential of the country. The delegation will include MPs, officials of the ministries of petroleum and gas, finance and economic planning, the central bank and representatives of the business community of Sudan.

Members of the delegation are expected to meet with the chairmen of the House of Representatives and the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly, representatives of the central bank, the Agriculture and Food Ministry, the Industry Ministry, the Finance Ministry, the Construction and Architecture Ministry, the Energy Ministry, the concerns Belneftekhim, Bellesbumprom and Bellegprom, and the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The Sudanese delegation will also get acquainted with the achievements of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, will hold talks with the research and practical centers on agriculture and livestock, and the Belarusian mechanical engineering companies MTZ, MAZ, and BelAZ.

The parties are expected to sign a roadmap for the development of cooperation between the Republic of Belarus and the Republic of Sudan, a memorandum of parliamentary cooperation between the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus and the National Assembly of the Republic of Sudan, and an agreement between Sudan’s Ministry of Petroleum and Gas and the Belarusian industrial group Belorusneft.
