MINSK, 20 April (BelTA) – Belarus’ Justice Minister Oleg Slizhevsky and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to Belarus Fionna Gibb discussed the prospects of legal cooperation at the meeting in Minsk, BelTA learned from the Justice Ministry.

“The sides expressed interest in the cooperation between the Justice Ministry and the Embassy of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland within the framework of the UNDP legal projects on the basis of the United Nations Development Assistance Framework for the Republic of Belarus for 2016-2020, including the efforts to enhance the legal culture of the population and facilitate policy making,” the representatives of the Justice Ministry said.

The sides also discussed the protection of people’s rights, in particular, the protection of rights of disabled people and the eradication of domestic violence, the registration of political parties, public associations, etc.
