Rybakov discusses preparations for UN summit on post-2015 agenda
MINSK, 30 March (BelTA) – Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus Valentin Rybakov met with UN Under-Secretary-General for Economic and Social Affairs Wu Hongbo in New York on 27 March, BelTA learnt from the press service of the Foreign Ministry.
The parties discussed the preparations for the UN summit for the Adoption of the Post-2015 Development Agenda which is due in September 2015. Valentin Rybakov showed Belarus’ position and priorities within intergovernmental talks that are to determine the results of the forthcoming summit.
Valentin Rybakov also updated the UN Under-Secretary-General for Economic and Social Affairs on how Belarus is gearing up for the adoption and implementation of the new post-2015 development agenda. In April 2015 Minsk is set to host an international conference on innovative industrial development in middle-income countries.
