MOSCOW, 1 February (BelTA) – Prospects of expanding interaction between Belarus and the European Union were discussed during the meeting of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Russia Igor Petrishenko and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Estonia to Russia Arti Hilpus in Moscow on 1 February, the press service of the Embassy of Belarus in Russia told BelTA.

According to the source, the sides talked over results that have been reached and priority tasks in the development of Belarusian-Estonian relations at present. Prospects of further expanding interaction between Belarus and the European Union were mentioned as well. Close attention was paid to the current state of the bilateral trade turnover, investment cooperation figures, and the advancement of the political dialogue.

Belarus-Estonia diplomatic relations were established on 6 April 1992.
