MINSK, 3 September (BelTA) - On 3 September 2015, Belarus’ Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Alena Kupchyna attended the sixth round of consultations on modernization matters between Belarus and the European Union in Brussels, BelTA learned from the press service of the Minsitry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus.
The EU delegation was headed by Gunnar Wiegand, Director for Russia, Eastern Partnership, Central Asia, Regional Cooperation and OSCE of the European External Action Service (EEAS).
“The parties took stock of the results of the previous discussion rounds and discussed the prospects of cooperation in priority areas as agreed at the consultations in 2014 – 2015,” the press service noted.
Alena Kupchyna also held meetings with senior officials and representatives of the EEAS, the European Commission and the European Parliament Delegation for relations with Belarus. During the meetings, the matters related to the development of relations between Belarus and the EU were discussed.
