MINSK, 7 April (BelTA) - Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China Wang Yi will pay an official visit to the Republic of Belarus from 8 to 9 April, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
On 8 April Mr Wang Yi is set to meet with Belarus’ Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei.
The Republic of Belarus and the People's Republic of China established diplomatic relations on 20 January 1992. The same year China opened its Embassy in Minsk. In 1993 Belarusian diplomats were sent to Beijing. Cooperation with China is among the priorities of Belarus' foreign policy. The two countries regularly exchange visits on the high and highest levels, maintain a robust interparliamentary dialogue, and promote inter-agency contacts.
