PM: Relations between governments of Belarus, Russia are at the highest level

MINSK, 17 September (BelTA) – Relations between the governments of Belarus and Russia are at the highest level, Belarus’ Prime Minister Aleksandr Turchin said during a working meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Russia to Belarus Boris Gryzlov on 17 September, the government press service told BelTA.

The meeting discussed preparations for upcoming sessions of the CIS Heads of Government Council and the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council, and the international industrial exhibition INNOPROM. Belarus, all scheduled to take place in Minsk in late September.

Over 20 governors from the Russian Federation are expected to visit Belarus during this period. It is planned to hold a series of bilateral meetings and negotiations and discuss new joint projects to strengthen interregional cooperation and bring it to a whole new level.

Aleksandr Turchin stressed that relations between the two governments remain at the highest level. The agenda is broad. Intensive work is underway across all areas, he noted.
