The PACE delegation, which is due to visit Belarus on 8-9 September, will be led by Turkish MP Reha Demenec. The PACE delegation will also include Jonas Gunnarsson of Sweden, Marieluise Beck and Andrei Gunko from Germany and Andrea Rigoni of Italy. As was informed, the PACE delegation should have been headed by Armenian MP Arpine Hovhannisyan. However, on 4 September she was appointed as Armenia’s Minister of Justice and will not be able to visit the Belarusian capital.

Earlier, Chairperson of the Central Election Commission of Belarus Lidia Yermoshina stated that on 9 September she has a scheduled meeting with PACE rapporteur on Belarus Andrea Rigoni.
