Over 400 Kazakhstani in Belarus can vote in Kazakhstan’s presidential election

MINSK, 9 April (BelTA) – Over 400 citizens of Kazakhstan in Belarus can vote in the early presidential election in Kazakhstan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kazakhstan in Belarus Ergali Bulegenov told a press conference held on 9 April to discuss the presidential election in Kazakhstan, BelTA has learned.

“Our list contains over 280 citizens of Kazakhstan. These are mainly students and representatives of national organizations. We expect more than 400 Kazakhstani nationals to vote at the election,” Ergali Bulegenov said.

The citizens of Kazakhstan in Belarus will be able to vote at two polling stations in Minsk and Brest from 7am till 10pm. Representatives of the CIS Inter-Parliamentary Assembly and other organizations will observe Kazakhstan’s presidential election in Belarus.

Kazakhstan’s early presidential election is scheduled for 26 April. Three officially registered candidates are contested the election. These include incumbent President, leader of Nur Otan party Nursultan Nazarbayev, member of the Communist People’s Party of Kazakhstan Turgun Syzdykov and Chairman of the Federation of Trade Unions of Kazakhstan Abilgazi Kusainov.
