MINSK, 6 February (BelTA) – Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko has appointed Nikolai Latyshenok President’s Aide for General Affairs, BelTA informs.
Nikolai Latyshenok was born in 1964 in the village of Zaborye, Miory District. After serving in the USSR Armed Forces he entered the Ryazan Higher Airborne Command School which he graduated from in 1988. In 2011 he graduated from the Academy of Public Administration under the aegis of the President of Belarus.
Career: Served in the armed forces on the territory of Kazakhstan from 1988 to 1993 and then in the border troops of Belarus till 1995.
In 1995, joined the Security Service of the President of Belarus as a senior officer and made his way up to the post of the chief of the personal security service department.
Retired in August 2017.
Nikolai Latyshenok was awarded the Order for Service to the Homeland, the medals “For Impeccable Service” first, second, and third degrees.
