MPs to review government plan of action 2016-2020 by 10 April

MINSK, 27 January (BelTA) – The government plan of action 2016-2020 will be submitted to the House of Representatives in February. The MPs are set to consider it in early April, once the ninth session is open, Chairman of the House of Representatives Vladimir Andreichenko said as he attended a meeting of the Council of the House of Representatives, BelTA has learned.

"The government action plan will be submitted soon, I think, sometime in February. The Prime Minister and I discussed this matter. We will consider the document at a regular session in April. I think we will review the document before 10 April,” Vladimir Andreichenko said.

Vladimir Andreichenko stated that the commissions will examine the document. If necessary, they will invite ministers, and then summarize the comments from the MPs and bring them for consideration of the Council of Ministers to make amendments if necessary.

Earlier Prime Minister Andrei Kobyakov stated: "The major issues of the country's development, the ways to improve the competitiveness of the economy in the medium term will be reflected in the government plan of action 2016-2020. According to him, the Council of Ministers intends to develop a comprehensive document with a coherent system of measures to promote sustainable development, improve the well-being of people.”
