Minsk to host international forum to discuss future of Eastern Europe

MINSK, 11 May (BelTA) – The international forum “Eastern Europe: In Search of Security for All” organized as part of the Minsk Dialogue initiative will be held in the Belarusian capital on 23-25 May. The event will be attended by 350 experts and officials from more than 40 countries, BelTA learned from the organizers.

The forum participants will discuss the challenges facing the system of international relations, the changing world order and its ramifications for Eastern Europe, the actions that the states can take to preserve peace and to develop cooperation between the West and the East, and other topical issues.

“The forum of the Minsk Dialogue will be the next step in the development of the initiative. It will mark the beginning of the annual open extensive dialogue between leading experts from Eastern Europe, the European Union, Russia, the United States and China. The forum will provide a new platform for discussions about the present and the future of the regional and international security,” the organizers said.
