MINSK, 28 August (BelTA) – Upon the invitation of Polish partners, Belarus’ Foreign Minister Vladimir Makei will be on a working trip to Poland on 28-29 August, Spokesman for the Belarusian Foreign Ministry Dmitry Mironchik told reporters on 28 August, BelTA has learned.
“While in Poland, Vladimir Makei will meet with his Polish counterpart Radoslaw Sikorski,” Dmitry Mironchik informed. Besides, a meeting with Deputy Prime Minister- Minister of Economy of Poland Janusz Piechocinski is also scheduled. The Belarusian Foreign Minister is set to meet with Polish businessmen.
Top on the agenda of the meetings will be the cooperation between Belarus and the EU, Belarus and Poland, the situation in the region and other matters of the mutual interest.
Dmitry Mironchik noted that Belarus and Poland jointly address a number of issues within the framework of integration projects in Europe: the European Union and the Customs Union. “The Belarus-Poland working groups have recently intensified their efforts,” he said.
Dmitry Mironchik added that the first results of the visit might be unveiled in the evening of 28 August.
