MINSK, 2 April (BelTA) – Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei will lead a Belarusian delegation at the meeting of the Council of Ministers for Foreign Affairs of the Commonwealth of Independent States which will take place in Bishkek (Republic of Kyrgyzstan) on 3 April, spokesperson for the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dmitry Mironchik told a press briefing, BelTA has learned.
The agenda of the meeting included 16 issues. Among them are plans of ministerial consultations, cooperation to strengthen border security, emergency management, law enforcement, and bolstering integration ties in defense, culture, education and sports.
Belarus has been holding the chairmanship in the CIS for the past two years and co-chairs the council.
