MINSK, 19 September (BelTA) – Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei is participating in the high-level week during the 72nd session of the UN General Assembly, BelTA learned from the official Twitter account of Belarus’ Permanent Mission to the United Nations.

Taking part in the five-day discussion (general debate) are over 130 heads of state and more than 100 foreign ministers. They are set to exchange views on the prevention and settlement of conflicts, fight against climate change, promotion of social and economic development, and other current global problems.

The UN General Assembly will see representatives of the UN member states along with the Vatican and Palestine, which have an observer status in the UN, and also the European Union.
