MINSK, 10 October (BelTA) – Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei met with his Polish counterpart Witold Waszczykowski on 10 October as part of his working visit to Poland, the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs posted on its Twitter account, BelTA has learned.
The visit marks the 25th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration on Good-Neighborliness, Mutual Recognition and Cooperation between the Republic of Belarus and the Republic of Poland. Vladimir Makei will also meet with other representatives of the Polish government bodies to discuss current issues of the bilateral cooperation.
The Belarusian-Polish dialogue has been bolstered considerably over the past year. The visits of the Polish Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Agriculture, Environmental Protection, Transport, Construction and Maritime Economy to Belarus, the resumption of the interparliamentary dialogue, and the intensive work of the intergovernmental commissions and working groups attest to this.
