MINSK, 22 November (BelTA) – Belarus will continue to stand by the position that it is inadmissible to make partner countries choose between the Eurasian and European integration, Belarus’ Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei said during a joint meeting of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Belarus and Russia in Minsk.
Vladimir Makei stressed the need for a long-term strategy for integration between the Eurasian Economic Union and the European Union. He also emphasized the importance of alignment with the Silk Road Economic Belt.
Vladimir Makei also said that the joint meeting addressed the cooperation with other international organizations, in particular, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in various areas, and also international and regional security.
