MINSK, 9 May (BelTA) – It is necessary to teach the youth to recognize the face of fascism behind the mask of good intentions, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko said during the wreath-laying ceremony at the Victory Monument in Minsk on 9 May, BelTA has learned.
“As the heirs of the victors, we must never forget who we are if we want to live in peace and security. If we do not want war,” the Belarusian leader emphasized.

“Our duty is to preserve the truth about that war and to tell everything – even things that are sometimes hard to say,” the head of state continued. “We must teach our youth to recognize the face of fascism behind the mask of good intentions. This is what we have to do for their peaceful future and for our native land.”
