Lukashenko wishes Putin Happy Birthday

MINSK, 7 October (BelTA) – Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin have had a telephone conversation, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

The Belarusian head of state cordially wished Vladimir Putin a Happy Birthday and wished him good health and further successes as the country’s leader.

The presidents briefly discussed the current agenda of the Belarus-Russia relations focusing traditionally on trade and economic contacts. They emphasized the importance of the forthcoming 5th Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia that will take place in Mogilev one of these days. The heads of state finalized its format and expressed hope that it will give an additional impetus to the mutually beneficial cooperation between Belarus and Russia.

Apart from that, Alexander Lukashenko congratulated Vladimir Putin on the victory of Russia’s Khabib Nurmagomedov over Conor McGregor of Ireland in the Ultimate Fighting Championship 229 in Las Vegas.
