MINSK, 9 October (BelTA) - Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko will take part in the main events of the 5th Forum of the Regions of Belarus and Russia in Mogilev on 12 October, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

The Belarusian head of state and Russian President Vladimir Putin are expected to address the plenary session of the forum which will be dedicated to regional cooperation as a key factor in integration and Union State development. The plenary session will be preceded by an one-on-one meeting of the two leaders, during which Alexander Lukashenko and Vladimir Putin will discuss the most pressing issues of Belarusian-Russian relations.

While in Belarus, the Russian president will be able to meet with his Belarusian counterpart in an informal setting.
