Lukashenko sends Spring Festival greetings to Xi Jinping

MINSK, 4 February (BelTA) – Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko has sent the Spring Festival greetings to President of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping and to the Chinese people, BelTA has learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

“I have fond memories of last year as we met at the Belt and Road forum in Beijing and at the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Summit in Qingdao,” the head of state noted. “The incoming year will pass under the symbol of the Yellow Earth Pig which stands for prosperity. I hope that the reforms which are being implemented under your guidance will help realize the China dream of the nation’s great revival and to achieve new breakthroughs in the Belarus-China relations,” the message of greetings reads.

Alexander Lukashenko noted that he looks forward to fruitful meetings in 2019 and to further joint accomplishments for the sake of the prosperity of the Belarusian and Chinese nations.

The Belarusian president wished strong health and happiness to Xi Jinping and his family, and peace and prosperity to people of the People’s Republic of China.
