Lukashenko sends Republic Day greetings to Azerbaijan

MINSK, 28 May (BelTA) - Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko has sent greetings to Ilham Aliyev, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, as the country celebrates Republic Day, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

The head of state underlined that modern-day Azerbaijan is a dynamically developing state and a reliable economic partner.

“The impressive social and political transformations, dramatic upgrade of the manufacturing industry, the country’s growing weight on the international arena confirm that you are moving in the right direction with your policy aimed at boosting economic growth, improving the social security system and pursuing an independent foreign policy,” the message reads.

Aleksandr Lukashenko is convinced that the implementation of the agreements and the joint projects upheld by the Azerbaijan president will help build up the capacities of the two countries, strengthen friendly contacts and mutual understanding between the people of Belarus and Azerbaijan.
