MINSK, 26 October (BelTA) – On behalf of the Belarusian people and himself Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko has sent greetings to the Federal President of the Republic of Austria Dr. Alexander Van der Bellen as the country celebrates the Austrian National Day, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

The head of state expressed hope that the two countries will continue a fruitful bilateral dialogue, which will advance further Belarus-Austria friendly relations. Alexander Lukashenko recalled the meeting and the meaningful conversation with the Federal President during his visit to Belarus to attend the commemorative event in Trostenets.

The Belarusian president has also sent greetings to Federal Chancellor of Austria Sebastian Kurz. Alexander Lukashenko confirmed Belarus’ interest in the further development of the mutually beneficial cooperation with Austria in various areas. “I hope our bilateral agreements will come to fruition soon. I also hope our constructive dialogue will continue,” Alexander Lukashenko said.
