MINSK, 24 August (BelTA) – Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko sent greetings to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy as the country celebrates Independence Day, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.
“The long-standing traditions of friendship and good neighborliness serve as a basis of effective cooperation between Belarus and Ukraine amidst the difficulties the world is facing today,” the message says.
Aleksandr Lukashenko confirmed the interest in expanding comprehensive Belarusian-Ukrainian cooperation based on the principles of equality and respect, and in developing a constructive partnership at both the national and regional levels.
The Belarusian president wished good health and success in responsible state activities to his Ukrainian counterpart, and peace, stability and well-being to the people of Ukraine.
