MINSK, 4 January (BelTA) – Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko congratulated Acting President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, Chairman of the State Security and Peace Commission Min Aung Hlaing and all citizens of Myanmar on Independence Day, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

“The intensification of Belarus-Myanmar ties in 2025 highlights the priority of developing interstate cooperation,” the message of greetings reads. “This year, our common task is the effective implementation of agreements reached during a series of joint events and visits at the highest and high levels and recorded in bilateral documents.”

Aleksandr Lukashenko noted that he warmly recalls his meeting with Min Aung Hlaing in hospitable Naypyidaw and expressed hope for new contacts in Belarus, Myanmar, or on international platforms.

The head of state wished good health and success in his responsible post to the Myanmar leader and peace and unity to the people of that country.
