MALORITA, 15 August (BelTA) - Salaries in sports must depend on results, President Alexander Lukashenko said during the working trip to Malorita District, Brest Oblast, BelTA has learned.
“If there is the result, there are bonuses. We need to give a chance to those who want to show the result, and then we will pay the money,” head of state said.
A similar approach is needed with regard to the salaries of administrative staff in a number of sports clubs which should be tied solely to financial results.
The conversation about the development of sport, including children and youth’s sport, happened near the local sports center where the presidential helicopter landed. Alexander Lukashenko gave a number of instructions in this regard. These included the solution of the problems related to the functioning of the ice arena in Beryoza.
The President criticized the performance of some Belarusian athletes at the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. “Some perform worse than before the Olympics, during the qualifying. The question is what they went there?” the head of state asked.
