Lukashenko, Putin to review Allied Resolve exercise

OSIPOVICHI DISTRICT, 17 February (BelTA) – I will be in Russia on a visit on Friday and Saturday. The exercise will still continue on these days, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko told the media as he reviewed the Belarusian-Russian exercise Allied Resolve 2022 at the Osipovichi training ground on 17 February, BelTA has learned.

"Yesterday at 13h00, we had a phone conversation with President Putin, discussed our schedule for Friday-Saturday, because our exercise will still be in progress on Saturday. The Russian side will inform you what site we will visit to review the exercise," Aleksandr Lukashenko said.

The joint exercise Allied Resolve 2022 is held from 10 to 20 February. The purpose of the exercise is to practice suppressing and repulsing external aggression and countering terrorism and defending the interests of the Union State.

The exercise involves the Gozhsky, Obuz-Lesnovsky, Brestsky and Osipovichsky training areas, and also some other areas.
