Lukashenko, Putin continue communication in informal setting after Union State summit

MINSK, 6 December (BelTA) – Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko and Russian President Vladimir Putin continued their communication in an informal setting following the meeting of the Supreme State Council of the Union State of Belarus and Russia in Minsk on 6 December, BelTA has learned.

“The work continues in a domestic atmosphere,” the Telegram channel Pul Pervogo informed.

According to the media source, Aleksandr Lukashenko invited his Russian colleague to visit his house.

The meeting of the Supreme State Council was held in Minsk to mark the 25th anniversary of the Union State Treaty. Belarus and Russia made important decisions in various areas. In particular, the parties concluded an interstate treaty on security guarantees and approved the Union State Security Concept.

Several decisions were made on strengthening social security of citizens and deepening economic cooperation between Belarus and Russia.

After the meeting, it became known that Russia would deploy its latest missile systems Oreshnik in Belarus.
