Lukashenko presents state awards at Savushkin Product

BEREZA, 31 July (BelTA) - Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko took part in a ceremony to present state awards at Savushkin Product on 31 July, BelTA has learned.

The head of state noted that the current award ceremony could be called unique and truly people’s: it is taking place not at the Palace of Independence, but right on the production floor. “This is the first time I am presenting state awards of this level at a workplace. I was suggested to do it and agreed,” he said.

The president also remarked on the weather, which had turned genuinely hot. “If I’s too hot, it’s not my fault. It’s the governor’s, who kept asking: ‘Give us some sun.’ Well, here’s your sun: I’ve been in Brest Oblast for two days, and it’s scorching. Now he’s already asking for it to cool down a bit,” Aleksandr Lukashenko joked.

“One of the largest dairy companies not only in Brest Oblast but across the country, Savushkin Product, has been awarded the Order of Labor Glory. A rare honor. And four of its best employees have received the Medal for Labor Merits,” Aleksandr Lukashenko emphasized. “These awards recognize the contributions of each of the nearly 10,000 workers across all your production companies, agricultural enterprises, branches, and trading houses - from Brest to Moscow, Almaty, and even geographically distant Dalian in China.”

The president noted that it is largely thanks to the Savushkin Product team that organic, wholesome, delicious Belarusian milk, cheeses, butter, yogurts, and ice cream are loved by adults and children in dozens of countries. “Belarus has a reputation as a country of green forests, blue lakes, endless grain, potato, flax, rapeseed, and buckwheat fields, and rivers of milk. All of this national wealth has been created by the hands of our hardworking people - people like you,” he added.

Aleksandr Lukashenko expressed confidence that Savushkin Product has many more achievements ahead. “That means Brest Oblast and all of Belarus will grow stronger alongside it. It’s no coincidence that you’re our top region, as your governor likes to say. I see you agree with that too,” the head of state said, hearing approving applause. “Your position obliges you to set an example for others.”

As previously reported, by decree of the head of state, Savushkin Product was awarded the Order of Labor Glory for its significant contribution to the development of the processing industry, its effective operations, and its production of high-quality goods. Four employees at the company’s production sites were also honored with state awards.

Prior to the state awards ceremony, the head of state visited a winter wheat field at the Savushkin Luch agricultural enterprise, which left him with a favorable impression. “You do everything well and thoughtfully. But once again, I am convinced that the foundation of all this is discipline, above all, technological discipline,” Aleksandr Lukashenko emphasized. “When there is discipline, there are results. Without discipline, there will be no results, no matter how much money you pour in.”

Speaking about Brest Oblast Governor Piotr Parkhomchik, the president admitted that he had deliberately sent an industrial manager to lead a region where agriculture dominates. “I can see that it’s paying off. He still has a pull toward balers, dolomite spreaders, and soil liming equipment. And he’s come to love agriculture. That’s what I was counting on,” said Aleksandr Lukashenko.

The president also noted the Savushkin Product production site in Bereza, which after a major modernization has become the country’s largest cheese production facility. “You are also growing actively in other regions - Orsha and Polotsk. We will support and help,” he assured.
