Lukashenko off to Russia on working visit

MINSK, 17 July (BelTA) – Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko is headed to the Russian Federation on a working visit on 17-18 July. The air force one has departed from Minsk National Airport, BelTA has learned.

Aleksandr Lukashenko and Russia President Vladimir Putin will attend the plenary meeting of the 6th Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia in St. Petersburg on 18 July. The heads of state are also planning to hold bilateral talks to discuss the development of trade and economic cooperation between Belarus and Russia and the interaction in the Union State.

On 17 July, the presidents are scheduled to have an informal meeting. Vladimir Putin and Aleksandr Lukashenko are expected to visit the Valaam Stauropegic Monastery of the Transfiguration of the Savior.
