MINSK, 11 September (BelTA) – MPs should be politically active both inside the country and on the international arena, Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko told media on 11 September, BelTA has learned.
“Striving for power is a normal ambition for ordinary people. It should be understood, however, that assuming power, for example, of an MP, the person will have to work hard: make laws and fulfill his/her promises, do good for the state and the people,” the President said.
The head of state stressed that the work of people in power should bring results. “You will lose the power unless you honor your commitments,” the President stressed.
