Lukashenko hopeful of better Belarus-U.S. ties

MOGILEV, 14 November (BelTA) – I hope that the Belarus-U.S. dialogue will advance further, Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko said as he spoke to the personnel of the Mogilev-based chemical fiber company Mogilevkhimvolokno on 14 November, BelTA has learned.

“There has been progress in our relations with the United States. We keep in contact, maintain this dialogue, fully preserving our sovereignty and independence. They have understood that they should not force a choice between Russia and the West,” Alexander Lukashenko said.

“We have our interests in the United States. They have interests in Belarus. Let us arrive at some agreements. I think we will be able to make advances here,” the head of state said.
