Lukashenko extends Independence Day greetings to Georgia

MINSK, 26 May (BelTA) - Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko has extended greetings to Georgia President Salome Zourabichvili as the country celebrates Independence Day, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

The Belarusian head of state welcomed the high level and sustainable nature of Belarus-Georgia relations. “Active contacts between our countries are a crucial factor in expanding cooperation and implementing joint projects across many fields,” the message reads.

The president expressed confidence that an open dialogue based on mutual understanding and trust will help promote friendly ties between the two countries.

Aleksandr Lukashenko wished good health, happiness and many successes to Salome Zourabichvili and peace and prosperity to the people of Georgia.
