Lukashenko congratulates Buhari on election as Nigeria president

MINSK, 28 February (BelTA) – Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko has sent greetings to Muhammadu Buhari who was elected the President of Nigeria, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

“I am convinced that your work as the country’s leader will contribute to economic progress, successful fulfillment of all tasks, enhancement of peace and stability in the region,” the message of greetings reads.

The head of state reaffirmed the eagerness to further develop Belarus-Nigeria political relations and productive cooperation in trade, investment, education, culture and other areas of mutual interest.
