MINSK, 10 December (BelTA) - Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko has sent greetings to the personnel of Belarusian National Technical University (BNTU) on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the university, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.
“The history of the famous polytechnic university is inseparably connected with the era of the development of our independent state. Over the years the personnel and graduates of your university have been making a big contribution to the development of the economy. A number of achievements of BNTU specialists are recognized worldwide,” the Belarusian leader noted.
The head of state stressed that today the university is one of Belarus’ leading institutions specializing in the training of highly qualified engineers for the priority sectors of the national economy, the application of cutting-edge solutions, and the establishment of innovative production facilities.
“I am convinced that your personnel will continue to multiply the best higher education traditions selflessly serving the Fatherland and succeeding in the resolution of one of the crucial tasks, which is the formation of the scientific and technical elite of the country,” the message of greetings reads.
