Lukashenko congratulates Belarusian border guards on professional holiday

MINSK, 28 May (BelTA) – Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko has sent greetings to the command staff, service personnel and veterans of border protection agencies as they celebrate their professional holiday, Border Guard’s Day, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

“Border service is the choice of strong, courageous and committed people with special knowledge, discipline and skills. Every day you are doing your best to demonstrate your loyalty to duty and the Belarusian people,” the message of greetings reads.

The head of state remarked that border guards successfully solve important tasks concerning the protection of the Belarusian borders and make a big contribution to ensuring and enhancing the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Homeland.

“Thanks to their professional excellence and strong character, Belarusian border guards are respected by our citizens and foreign colleagues,” the president stressed. “I am convinced that you will continue to serve our Fatherland with dignity strengthening its independence.”
