Lukashenko congratulates agrarians on 100th anniversary of agricultural industry

MINSK, 15 February (BelTA) – Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko has sent greetings to Belarusian agrarians on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the agricultural industry, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

“One hundred years ago a new era was opened in the history of Belarus. It was highlighted by the example of the labor feat of people, dedicated and productive work of agrarians for the benefit of the country,” the head of state said. “Cherishing the best traditions, relying on the experience and knowledge of older generations, applying cutting-edge technologies, our farmers created a new model of modern agriculture with the support of the state. By developing and improving all segments of the agricultural industry, they ensure the food security of our country. Our manufacturers always occupy high positions in global quality rankings.”

Alexander Lukashenko thanked all workers of the agricultural industry – directors, specialists, agrarian scientists, veterans and dedicated workers – for their diligence and perseverance, loyalty and commitment to the chosen profession.
