Lukashenko: Centralized tests should be fully in sync with school curriculum

MINSK, 24 August (BelTA) – Centralized tests should be fully in sync with school curriculum in 2018, Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko said during the plenary session of the Nationwide Conference on Teaching on 24 August, BelTA has learned.

“I would like the Education Ministry to make sure that centralized tests in all subjects are revised and are fully in sync with school curriculum by the 2018 enrollment campign,” Alexander Lukashenko said.

The head of state stressed that industry-specific education has been introduced at schools. It aims to promote the professional motivation of school leavers. “However, it is also necessary to revise approaches to the final academic assessment of students and the monitoring of their progress in studies to ensure the objective and independent assessment of students’ knowledge,” the president remarked.
