MINSK, 27 May (BelTA) – Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko has extended greetings to President of the Republic of Tatarstan of the Russian Federation Rustam Minnikhanov as Tatarstan celebrates 100 years since its foundation, BelTA learned from the press service of the head of state.
“Modern Tatarstan is a republic with a powerful social and economic potential and a unique cultural and historical heritage. It is by right among the most advanced subjects of the Russian Federation. The key to these successes is hard work, initiative, a deep sense of patriotism of your citizens,” the message runs.
Aleksandr Lukashenko said that Belarus highly appreciates the historically established fraternal relations with Tatarstan, which fully meet the interests of both peoples. The president expressed confidence that this republic would continue to be an example of stability and prosperity, and its friendly ties with Belarus would be filled with new mutually beneficial projects.
